I have more than 15 years of experience as an occupational therapist with a wide range of clinical practice including acute care, outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation. Most recently I have developed a love for helping kids reach their full potential through pediatric therapy. I have enjoyed bringing my broad experience to this fun but challenging patient population. Currently I am part of the rehabilitation team at the APH Outpatient Rehab Clinic, and the acute care team at Arnold Palmer Hospital and Winnie Palmer Hospitals. I enjoy the additional challenge of writing and supervising through regular contributions to the APH Illuminate Blog, Arnold Palmer Community Groups and through supervisory leadership of OT Interns. In addition, my practical experience as a mother of three has given me a passion for equipping parents for life's unexpected difficulties.
My professional goals include building on my strengths in communication and leadership to capture a management or teaching position. It is important to me to demonstrate excellence in patient care by building a strong care team, establishing respect and report with other healthcare disciplines, maintaining a personalized approach to daily treatment while setting a clinical standard for best practice within the scope of my profession.
