I attended high school at Horn Lake High School in Horn Lake, MS. I received some technical training early in my career on software development in Python, SSH scripting and VB 6, which led me to pursue training on programmable micro controllers (PIC Micro and Atmel) development. I have received the CompTIA certification in both Network+ and A+IT from New Horizon in Memphis, TN in 2001 and 2009, respectively. For more than 15 years I have been, extremely, interested in robotics and home/business automation. I have been commissioned, as well, to design and install automation systems using various PLC's and microcontrollers. Doing so, I have developed several SCADA control and logging systems using the Parijat component in Visual Basic where I created HMI controls that allowed the user to configure lighting, HVAC, sprinkler and other tasks, as well as, turn each component on/off and read analog and digital values from sensors throughout the home/business (much like automation tasks required in Industrial automations). In other jobs I utilized micro sized linux computers (raspberry pi) and Arduino controllers with Koyo PLC's over ModBus to build automation controls written with Python, Shell and WxPython for HMI or GUI development. Later, I found that the use of these components are very useful in Industrial logging and basic controls.
