Headquartered in New York City, NY, the society mobilizes people and resources to help individuals with MS and their families live their best lives while devoting a majority of revenue to research in order to stop MS in its tracks and end MS forever.
The Southern California and Nevada Chapter helps service over 20,000 individuals living with MS by offering a wide range of programs and services, tailored to meet individual needs.
Responsible for the delivery of Chapter's educational and wellness programs from newly diagnosed to across the lifespan, targeting people with MS and their families, and serving as primary point of contact to the society's Information and Resource Center.
Plan and coordinate educational one-day workshops and program series, such as Optimal Living with MS, in collaboration with USC's Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy departments; and the annual chapter meeting, tailored to the needs of the local MS community within the Los Angeles field market by collaborating with internal and external service providers and administering training when necessary.
Direct the work of chapter's satellite office at The Wellness Center at the Historic General Hospital, collaborating with local community organizations and healthcare professionals, resulting in outreach and service delivery to the Hispanic and underserved populations.
Recruit, train, and manage community outreach interns at The Wellness Center satellite office in order to connect with clients in various county and private clinics on LAC+USC campus, maintain data entry by National organizations standards, assist on current programming within the facility and provide ongoing administrative support.
Assisted in developing the pilot program, Exercise and MS, focusing on adaptable and functional fitness to meet the needs of the MS community.
Collaborated with physical therapists and fitness professionals to create facilitator and participant manuals comprising of guidelines, lesson plans, intake for participant application, program evaluations and sample activities for both one-day workshop and 12-week series.
Ensure maximum impact of society programs using participant pre- and post-evaluation tools and surveys, analyzing collected data and identifying further needs within the community

Managed National Scholarship Program for local chapter through oversight of selection and financial awards as aligned with chapter budget, engaging volunteer scholarship committee to assist in review of over 30 applications yearly, and engaging scholar recipients in MS community post-award.
Maintained chapter-wide Service Provider System to ensure referrals are accurate and current, developing and maintaining relationships with community agencies in order to provide more MS-specific care, information, and resources to those living with MS.
