Serve as liaison between VISN executives, facility management, service chiefs and front line employees in identifying and initiating system redesign and improvements. Lead facilitator for redesign and improvement efforts throughout the facility. Establish and manage communication events throughout the facility to ensure project information and status is spread facility wide. Actively leads and participates in VISN and local level task groups/committees and updates senior leadership and national on system redesign progress and issues.
Ensures program effectively includes all VHA mandated elements and integrates strategic plans and goals of the VA. Works closely with outside consultants on $1.5 million dollar grant project using systems redesign methodologies across multiple teams to implement the 21st Century Grant Initiative over a period of 3 years. Supports and guides employees and leadership in ongoing SR PI projects to sustain and spread change throughout the facility.
Trained, budgeted and instructed and supervised 10+ Medical Technicians. Redesigned program for medical element to ensure appropriate training was accomplished prior to deployments, and medical equipment was ordered, packaged and inventoried by personnel. Implemented new training requirements/assignments based on evaluation of staffing requirements. Established alliance between squadron commanders to effectively support and maintain deployment objectives. Managed enlisted review process and ensured compliance with State and Federal regulations.
