I have very good trouble shooting skills in any machine setting Lathes, drilling centers, centerless grinders, transfer lines, spline rollers, all C&C Machines. Also very good people skills. I built and trained my team in material handling as we ramped up the 2nd shift. We were a great team. Making sure stock got out to the assembly&production areas in a timely manner. Getting stock in to the plant, and finished transmissions out to our costumers.
When job setting the caseline I would come into work, find a machine down hard where they had been down for hours and I would get it up and running in a short time. This type of thing would happen a lot. When I was at the Romulas plant or known as RTO. I was asked to go over to the caseline and learn that area, all C&C machines they were running 12hrs two shifts 7 days a week just trying not to shut down the assembly room with minimal success. After a couple of months of being there I was able to identify the problems bring the quality up reduce the scrap to almost nothing and the production levels up to a level not seen there before. The overtime was cut down to 8 to 9hrs a day, and Sundays and most Saturdays were eliminated. I was in that area for about 10 months, about 2yrs after I left they were right back to where they were before I went over there. I went back and fixed there problems again. While I was there they had they had a centerless grinder down hard in another area. it had been down for four days. They asked me to look at it. I had it up and running in about 3hrs. There were many more of those situations.
