My duties included overseeing the program that I created, Art to Life Outreach, and working with assisted living facility directors to create partnerships between the university and residents with dementia.
Psychology DeparmentAugust 2016 to January 2017Research Assistant Intern I had the opportunity to perform psychological analysis tests on children aged 4-6 and analyzing these data in a laboratory setting, becoming proficient in both testing children and analyzing of data.
Volunteer for Special and Underprivileged ChildrenAugust 2016 to December 2016Through the University of Alabama Honors College and the RISE Center at the University of Alabama, I had the privilege of volunteering with children special abilities as well as children in need of tutoring.
Honors College OutreachJanuary 2016 to August 2017Alabama Action Leader (Honors College) My duties included integrating freshmen into the University of Alabama Honors College through community service at local elementary schools and creating projects for them to perform at the schools. These included renovating the front of a gym and painting murals in the halls of the elementary schools.
Classics DepartmentOctober 2015 to May 2017Research Director
With the help of my Latin professor, I created the only student-oriented research in the Classics on campus. It was funded by the Student Government Association. Our research looked into the effects of translation of Reformation-era Latin. I prepared this research for presentation and had the honor of presenting it at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill Eta Sigma Phi research conference in February 2017.
