Assist in the planning of several year-round events, Living History Day and A Victorian Christmas. Help in decorating the home for Christmas and other events at the house. Answer guest's questions about the history of the boardinghouse, Thomas Wolfe and his book, Look Homeward, Angel. How Asheville and Western North Carolina was during Thomas Wolfe's young life. I monitor the safety of the guests during tours of the house. Provide advice to guests, regarding restaurants and optional tours, in the greater Asheville area depending on their requests. Played an active role in the welcoming, enjoyment and safekeeping of all visitors at the house. Develop and maintain relationships with schools and universities, travel agencies, and other professional organizations. Collaborated with Historical Association to produce social media campaigns to promote the Thomas Wolfe Memorial. Also, work with the museum conservator to help document, restore and preserve artifacts that are on display in the house.
Responsible for the managing of our office by ensuring the office operations and procedures are organized, correspondences are controlled, filing systems are designed, scheduling jobs with customers and assigning employees to that job; following up on work results with customer, supply requisitions are reviewed and approved and that clerical functions are properly assigned and monitored. Other job duties include Preparing payroll, designing filing systems, ensure filing systems are maintained and current, evaluate and manage staff performance, coordinate schedules, appointments, and bookings, Responsible for maintenance, mailing, shipping, supplies, equipment, bills, and errands. I also handle all customer inquiries and complaints, I have a broad knowledge of business management principles, and clerical practices and procedures.
Restrain animals during an examination for laboratory procedures. Give medication or immunizations prescribed by the veterinarian and assist in collecting, urine, blood and tissue samples of the animal. Prior to surgery, I will start the IV line for the induction of General Anesthesia, then administer appropriate Anesthetic per veterinarian's preference. Clean, shave and disinfect the areas of the body that will be operated on. Then move them to the OR and position them on the operating table, Place sterile solutions, surgical instruments in areas where they can be easily reached by the veterinarian. using sterile technique, place sterile surgical drapes to cover the operative site. Monitoring vital signs and observing their status is another job responsibility. During surgery, I would pass sterile surgical equipment, such as scalpels and forceps, to the surgeons. I would cut sutures, keep track of items like sponges and needles, operate lights and help dress the surgical wounds. I also monitor and care for the animal after the surgical procedure, then administer pain medication per the surgeon's order.
