I am Senior Geophysicist with deep experience in various positions of increasing responsibility in foreign and domestic exploration, development and geoscience operations. I am seeking a Quantitative Interpretation position in new or mature field development. I will consider either full hire or consulting positions.
New field development supporting multi-discipline team with conventional seismic interpretation, depth conversion and quantitative interpretation. Prepared technical evaluation, maps and reserves estimates for team through to FID. I successfully championed the use of quantitative interpretation within the Mubadala Thailand Business Unit. QI is not a standard tool in Bangkok of both green and brown field projects as well as exploration. Completing contract with QI study of Jasmine Field (161 wells, 105 sq. km. of 3D prestack seismic).
Exploration Geoscience Technology with 3D & 4D Quantitative Interpretation experience and mentoring responsibilities of junior staff. I mentored several exceptional young geoscientists who now work as a QI expert for the development teams at PETRONAS. I worked individually on projects in Oman, Mauritania and Mozambique. I also worked on quality control of a new rock physics data base and prestack processing QC for quantitative interpretation.
MitEnergy Upstream - Houston, TX Production Geoscientist
Gulf of Mexico Shelf asset development, focus on Main Pass 60/61. I worked in a non-operating position contributing to partners meetings and development decisions on recompletions, new produces and water injectors. I successfully demonstrated by drilling on QI data the presence of a new oil reservoir which had been believed to be depleted.
I worked 3D deterministic and stochastic simultaneous inversion projects for USA domestic clients both onshore and offshore. Projects were proprietary but included clastics and carbonates.
Indonesia Deep Water quantitative interpretation applied to new field delineation. This was a large scale project in conjunction with Fugro-Jason to formulate and apply a workflow to build the low frequency model for simultaneous inversion by interactive forward modeling. I Co-authored a paper on the team findings.
Exploration Services - DHI-AVO analysis and seismic inversion with Hampson-Russell primarily on Gulf of Mexico Projects. (Veritas is now CGG)
Subsidiary of ARCO: Vico Indonesia (subsidiary of ARCO)- Jakarta, Indonesia (1998-2000). Geology & Geophysics Section Head
o Responsibilities to supervise geology and geophysics projects for the Beras, Mutiara and Pamaguan asset teams.
I worked in the Widuri Field asset team with focus on existing field management and new field extension. This was senior level position with significant interpretive, geoscience and training/mentoring requirements. Successful incorporated AVO and seismic attributes to locate new field extensions. I applied Fugro-Jason deterministic inversion for acoustic impedance mapping.
ARCO Oil & Gas Co... – Plano, TX (1992-1993).
Pursued graduate studies in Computer Science and Education at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, Ca. and California State University, Sand Bernardino, Ca. Departed graduate school in good standing upon receiving a job offer from ARCO Oil & Gas Corporation.
Gravity and magnetics processing and interpretation work – both client and speculative data services.
