Forensic Psychology has been my passion for years now. My background undergraduate degrees in Criminal Justice, Sociology, and Psychology were all preparation for my graduate degree and future career. I now have my degree and am ready to immerse myself in the the field. On and off for the last 8 years while in school and such, I have been working with offenders as an addictions counselor and evaluator, assisting them in seeing the error of their ways. Truly rewarding work because I am not just helping these individuals, but their families, loved ones, and the community to be a place families can live their lives reducing safety concerns. I have continued to further my education with numerous professional development certificate courses, available upon request. Since I decided what I wanted to do with my life, I have only reaffirmed my forensic psychology passion and the desire to service the individuals of a community in need of reliable and accurate evaluations and ongoing support. In my free time, I enjoy volunteering at local schools, where I often work with kiddos with developmental delays and special needs issues. As a single parent for the first six years of my son's life, who also has special needs, I learned more about myself and a community's needs which also reinforced my career goals. Although I have spent the last 13 years in the United States reaching for my goals, I want to take my skills where they are wanted. I spent the first 18 years of my life across the Atlantic ocean in Montenegro (Yugoslavia). I unwittingly thought I would not only get my degree in the states but that I and my services would be appreciated. As it turns out, I do see myself relocating, in order that my services and talents are not depreciated. Ontario, Canada seems like that place I have been looking for both professionally and domestically. I look forward to an opportunity to meet you and show you the person I am and what an asset I will be to this organization and the community as a whole.
