Executive Profile
I have worked as an entrepreneur, educator and cultural curator. I am the founder of R3, a consulting firm that works to create digital content and live experiences across myriad of platforms. We design experienced and provoke ideas. Most recently I have worked with brands such as TED, History Channel, Prudential, William Morris Endeavor, and MindBodyGreen. As the founder of TEDxEast, I have worked with the top minds of our time, in many cases introducing them to the zeitgeist with unprecedented results. This was the first TEDx event in NYC and was founded in 2009. My team and I work to identify ideas from some unlikely places and nurture these to share with a larger audience. We have built a great team over the last 6 years and a community which is now comprised of thousands of innovative thinkers and doers in New York City. I am also an educator and scholar, having completed my Claire at Columbia University in 2011. I began my teaching career as an educator with Teach for America. My first book, Working in the Reggio Way was published in 2005 and was based on 3 years of research while living in Reggio Emilia, Italy and working in the schools there. My second book, More Working in the Reggio Way was published in June 2014. Currently, I am completing the analysis and writing about How Ideas Spread, which used the TEDx program as a case study to look at the cognitive and emotive factors that contribute to the spread of ideas. This has taken me to 24 countries gathering data; both qualitative and quantitative.
