On 26 March 2003 conducted a combat jump onto Basher Airfield in Northern Iraq. Battled for Kirkuk during Operation Option North, during the advance an estimated 8-12 Iraqi Divisions were waiting for battle.Defeated enemy by taking the cities of Mosul, Arbil, Dibis, Al-Salamanyna, Kirkuk and Balad controlling oil fields and military airfields in and around the cities.Between 30 March and 2 April, the 173rd Airborne Brigade, along with the a Special Forces detachment and the Kurdish forces, engaged and destroyed the 2nd, 4th, 8th and 38th Iraqi Infantry Divisions as well as a force loyal to Ansar al-Islams. Conducted hundreds of combat patrols and raids.Trained Iraqi police and military.Detained interviewed and interrogated enemy insurgents.Conducted sniper missions on high value targets.Helped rebuild infrastructure.14 November 2003 when engaged by the enemy with an IED injuring myself and killing 2.
