  • Coordinate employee benefits with carriers and third party servicing companies.
  • Oversee all employee request of benefit changes within the plan year.
  • Monthly reconciliation of all benefit payments / employee payroll (5 providers).
  • Termination of benefits and Cobra elections.
  • Track FMLA leave premiums for employees on leave.
  • Annual Open Enrollment – meet with providers, setting up new rates for the plan year, processing all employee enrollments and change request.
  • Monthly allocation between companies to ensure proper expenditures – manually Human Resource.
  • Ensuring compliance with state and federal employment and labor laws (FMLA, FLSA, ADA, etc.) and provide guidance to managers and supervisors (55 Managers/Supervisors).

  • Prepare and examine financial reporting to include P&L statement and Balance Sheet – 4 companies.
  • Coordinate the accounting procedures for the A/R, A/P departments – general ledger posting.
  • Work with Department Managers on building budgets and forecast.
  • Monitor legal payments, employee fuel, travel and reimbursement expenses.
  • Monitor and work with insurance carries for the business WC coverage and general liability coverage.
  • Prepare bank deposits.
  • Implement the organizations Accounting policies and interpret guidance in regards to the accounting department.
  • Work with internal and external auditors.
  • Review of all expense accounts and fixed assets.
  • Responsible for month end reporting – reconciliation of all accounts, including bank accounts.
