  • LIDB server receives a RM message and sends a query to SS7 server which in turn formats the message and sends it to the SS7 network.
  • When LIDB server receives a response back from the SS7 server it decodes the sends a response message back to the originating process.
  • Wrote a DirectTalk application called Charge By Phone that allows callers to change their pin and pay their phone bill through the phone.
  • The application gets a telephone number, credit card number, zip code, expiration date of credit card and amount of transaction from the caller.
  • It then does a NPANNX check to make sure that the telephone number is in the covered area.
  • The next step is to send a LIDB message to the SS7 network to validate the phone number and PIN before sending the transaction to NBD (National Bank of Detroit) for a charge.

  • The library allows phone calls to be routed to the appropriate Resource Group depending on date and time of calls, load of resource group, and other configurable variables.

  • Wrote Perl scripts that do the functionalities of affinity groups for Sprint's Voice Activated Dialing System.
  • Some of the functionalities of an affinity group are adding member department's numbers into their address books, being able to dial group members numbers, give certain departments like HR access to all groups and vise versa, etc.

  • DT server get messages from a call processor maps the switch port number associated with the call to a corresponding span and channel and routes the call to the appropriate DT system.
