I started my career at PSI as a Quality Control Manager on NAVFAC Project N62478-11-D-4045 TO 0002 Reroute Effluent Through Parshall Flume, JBPHH, HI Work involved 1) demolition, cleaning and coating of existing tank interior; 2) construction of Parshall Flume, gate valves, railings, stairs and tank covers; 3) concrete repair and wall thimbles; and 4) installation of sensors, electrical power and control wiring, SCADA connection and programming. I partnered successfully with NAVFAC to produce an outstanding CCASS evaluation.
After the successful completion of the Parshall Flume project I was promoted to Project Manager in October 2012. Over the last 4 years I have worked on many NAVFAC and USACE contracts as Project Manager. I will typically be on 5- 8 projects at a time all in various stages. I have experience with Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build projects. The projects I have been on have ranged from 200,000.00 to up to 13,500,000.00. In addition to managing several projects I also am responsible to be a lead estimator on different bids throughout the year to insure we have backlog for future work.
My current tasks include monthly billings, subcontractor management, budget management/projecting cost to completion, assistance in submittal review, oversight/training Field Engineers, Superintendent/SSHO's and Quality Control Managers, project schedule updates including delay analysis, preparation and negotiation of contract modifications, creating positive relationships with customers and subcontractors.
I am also very efficient in computer software to include Primavera, Heavy Bid, QCS, CAD, Excel, Word and Bluebeam/Adobe.
Some of the projects I have managed include:
Renovation of Building 1492, USACE Design-Bid-Build, 13,500,000, October 2014- Present, complete interior demolition and build back of a three story building to transform from a barracks to an office space. Very successful project initiating and negotiating several change orders due to various unforeseen conditions.
Dive Tower, NAVFAC Design-Bid-Build, 5 million, July 2013 - Present. Historical and life safety upgrades. Took over the project at a time when the project was under-performing and we were having internal issues with NAVFAC. Manged to turn around the relationship and bring profit back up by fighting for legitimate change order previously denied by NAVFAC.
Upgrade Storm Water Nehelani, USACE Design-Bid-Build, 3 million October 2014 - November 2015. Civil project to update the storm water system. First project with USACE on Schofield and set a precedence for how we can successfully complete projects. We finish 8 weeks earlier and earned an excellent evaluation.
