I am a student at Miami University in Oxford Ohio. I am currently in search of a new major. I was a Nursing major at Capital University in Columbus Ohio, I was playing lacrosse for the university when I sustained a spinal injury that has left me with permanent damage that left me with partial and sporadic paralysis. I am recovering well from my injury and am determined to not let it stop me from living a meaningful and full life. I am still learning how to navigate this new stage of life and it has inspired me to help others which is what I want to do for the rest of my life. I have felt i have been able to take a lot away from my injury however, I am better able to adapt to situations, I have been able to relate to others and look at the bigger picture when it comes to others and myself. As much as my life has changed, I believe it was not for the worse and I have a lot that I am able to accomplish. Now i am a friendly and outgoing Barista and YoungLife leader with excellent interpersonal communication strengths. Capable of processing conversations, handling food and meeting customer demands with diligent and well-organized mentality. Friendly with great people skills. Dedicated to creating personalized customer experiences while offering knowledge of menu items and preparation.
