ART TEACHER
Summary

Dedicated, passionate, creative Art Teacher with many years of experience instructing students on the basics of drawing/sketching, painting, sculpture and much more.

As a full time artist having started laxartist.com 20 years ago.

Having done everything there is to when it comes to Art. there is still so much to learn and to discover. My goal is to share my knowledge and my passion onto future artist. We are all artist.

Sketches, logos, paintings, booth/ gallery shows, uniforms, clothing lines, apparel, sports wax, writer, producer, illustration, short stories, scripts ...

All of the above have one thing in common, they all started with imagination (to make an image or picture in our minds). Turning a creative idea into a simple sketch in a journal.

All of my students are asked to have just 2 things to start with, a pencil and a journal, everything else is a bonus.

*Articulate communicator skilled at conveying ideas to students with various learning styles, even creating styles of our own. I was fortunate enough to have been that student who found an art teacher(s) with enough passion to share everything he and she knew for us, the students. Supporting students in understanding artistic concepts and building creative abilities and most important relationships.

Helping students find not just their style but their identity.

Innovative Art Instructors are rare and hard to find with extensive knowledge of all the methods and mediums of art on each level.

Adept at managing a number of students. At the same time while cultivating a productive atmosphere. Making sure every student feels safe, at home and wants to be a part of something creative.

*Successful at monitoring growth through creative assessments and creating detailed lesson plans.

*Encouraging students not to erase, to not worry about mistakes.

*Integrating culture and technology into productive classroom settings. I am extremely passionate about art, thinking outside the box and have dedicated my life to family, my students, my art, in the classrooms, the art studios and on the fields.

*I have well over 20 years of experience, a wonderful family, a beautiful 11 year old son, so I see the changes in the world around us, in the classrooms, in technology and the art world.

*Always encouraging creativity while monitoring individual student progress. Committed to comprehensive education of all the groups of fine arts, starting with the basics, starting with imagination (a pencil and a journal). Proactive leader with strengths in communication and collaboration. *Adept at managing concurrent objectives to promote efficiency and I look forward to being a positive influence and seeing amazing outcomes. Strong knowledge of art and people. Communicative and team-oriented in group projects.

*Hardworking and reliable art teacher with strong ability in lead and complete. *Highly organized, proactive and punctual with team-oriented mentality. Proven history of communication and the arts. I believe we are all students pursuing new arts and eager to contribute, learn, developed knowledge in any and all art. Adaptable and driven with strong work ethic and ability to thrive in team-based or individually motivated settings. SJBosco offers this and so much more I look forward to introducing myself in person and showing samples of my work. Coming from a very similar HS in Maryland I look forward to expanding the growth of fine arts programs in any role of SJB. A place my family can call home for years to come. I look forward meeting the staff, faculty students and continuing the spirit and growth that SJB already has.
