  • Through communicating with various restaurants, retail stores and corporate industries generated donations to be utilized at the walk such as food, beverages, utensils, decorations, various good and services.
  • Promotion of walk event through the use of personal calls, postcards and marketing material to ensure that families created personal teams, generating interest and raising funds.
  • Part of a team to generated support and encouraged central Florida families, businesses and CEO's to partner and raise more than $128M in financial contributions.
  • Through recruiting and mentoring a team of 8 coaches I was able to increase family support in 2011 and 2012 by assigning each coach a district area of families in Central Florida to communicate through calls, emails and assistance in forming personal teams to raise funds for the annual 5K walk.
  • This process increased family involvement and broke record for the organization in the families' teams raising more funds than corporate organizations.
  • Write, edit, proof and deliver speeches to motivate families in Central Florida to support the organization by increasing registration, involvement and funds.
  • Work with the walk committee to establish logistics of walk route in order to comply with local law and venue policies and procedures, set up of various vendors and activities on the grounds, organize the arrival and distribution of goods and service, and establish entertainment and activities available on the day of the event.
  • In collaboration with staff and committee members, recognized the support and financial contributions of families, businesses and CEO's at the end of each walk through recognition at our annual banquet.
  • As the Family Chair I was responsible to speak to a wide range of individuals to convey what drives our mission and how they played an essential part in reaching our goals.
  • Recognition was continued through newsletters, website and emails to appreciate our sponsors and count on their continued support.
