Running for me is a love and hate relationship. I hate it because I am a very slow runner, but I love it because I feel amazing after running. When I was in College ROTC, I was verbally harrassed by my instructor alot because I was so slow. I would make our entire squad run extra miles because I could never keep up. He would make sure the entire squad know that we ran those extra miles because of me. This happened the entire four years in college, after I graduated college I continued running. Until this day I run at least 3 times a week! I promised myself that I would never stop working on my run, and in March 2021 I completed a half marathon. My next goal is to complete a full marathon. I run because i never want to stop improving, and I will never allow another person to make me feel ashamed of myself.
