I have been a Registered Nurse for 23 years. The majority of my time has been in Long Term Care, however, the first 7 years were in a hospital setting where I experienced many different roles from a floor nurse to the role of Hospital Supervisor, which is the job I was doing when I left to become a Director of Nursing in a Long Term Care Facility. The position of Director of Nursing has carried me down many paths all of which I have enjoyed.
I Have also had the opportunity to be an Assistant Director of Nursing, and a Staff Development Coordinator which I really enjoyed because I was able to do some teaching which I really think is my real true calling just associated with the medical field, as I was also a CPR Instructor and am currently in the process of renewing my Instructor's license to once again teach CPR.
