In general, your resume should include three to six examples of previous employment. However, not all job candidates have that much experience. In that case, consider including short-term jobs, even jobs that last as little as one day (contractor work, performances, consulting, etc.). If you have no experience, any previous employment is better than none.
If you have extensive work history, you should avoid including extraneous employment information unless the particular instance of short-term employment is relevant to the job opportunity. In most instances, employers look at your most recent and substantial career moves. As a result, one-day jobs offer little insight into your professional qualifications. If you want to include one-day jobs, list them under a single job title, for example business consultant, handyman or production manager.
