Addictions Counselor/Group Leader - providing group therapy on the Adult Psychiatric and Addictions Unit. Develop/organize and facilitate daily group therapy for the APA unit. This group therapy format covers mental health, addiction and recovery, grief and loss, gender specific topics, age specific topics, addressing stressors and implementation of coping skills needed in the recovery process of mental health and addiction. Knowledgeable of psychiatric disorders, psychotropic and detox medications. Responsible for daily assessments and treatment planning. Triage daily for each patient with the treatment team. *The expectation of this position is to promote a safe and beneficial environment while providing treatment to each patient on the APA unit through the process of group therapy. Social Work/Case Management-Per Diem -Effectively managed time and caseloads based on 2-3 sessions per week. Responsible for initial assessment/family contact and meeting/case management/ discharge planning. Trained to work with all populations in this setting, which includes older adult, adolescent, adult psychiatric, adult psychiatric and addiction patients. Primary case load was adolescent and adult psychiatric/addiction. Work closely with the treatment team which include utilization management, nurses, social workers and discharge planner on each unit.
