Lead volunteer and developed a brand new FRG for the 86th Expeditionary Signal Battalion. Created a binder that consisted of all the rules, regulations and official memorandums for the FRG. Started to recruit volunteers to fill all the volunteer positions needed and created subgroups within the FRG. Organized and planned monthly FRG meetings and invited key speakers to talk about a wide range of information to attending family and service members. Scheduled the FRG in community based events and I planned and organized fundraisers. Attended monthly meetings with the Battalion Commander, Company Commanders and other FRG leaders so I could give them streamlined information on scheduled events, fundraising and FRG meetings.
Part of a small group of volunteers that assisted with on going communications to families of deployed Army service members. Was assigned 15 family members and was responsible of keeping up to date contact and family information with each family. Contacted each family on a by-weekly or monthly bases to see if they had questions or concerns and to make sure they were doing well through the deployment process. Noted and documented all contact with family members and involved the FRG leader with any matters that could not be resolve on my level.
Cross-trained and provided back-up for the claims manager and Intel move coordinator. As a claims assistant I settled claims and worked in Great Plains to process settlement checks. During peak season I was a move coordinator for our Intel account. I would contact the shipper, receive his/her information and move dates then input information into the system, used Movers Suite, created bill of ladings and contacted the shipper throughout the moving process with the driver's pick up/delivery spread dates and times. I provided the shipper/customer with excellent customer service throughout their entire moving process. Also provided assistance to the receptionist daily. Managed the receptionist area, including greeting visitors and responding to telephone and in-person requests for information. Answered incoming calls, made copies, sent faxes, dispersed incoming mail, and filing.
