  • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the HR department in the Beloit plant.

  • Organize, maintain, and process all updates to employees' records and files to ensure that they are accurate.
  • Process new hire paperwork as well as process termination paperwork.
  • Hold annual compliance training at the beginning of the year to ensure that all employees understand policies set out by the company.
  • Maintain employee filing system in the HR department and retrieve files when necessary.
  • Archive all terminated personnel files securely.
  • Function as a liaison to all departments in the plant.
  • Work within a team as well as independently for special and ongoing projects.
  • Conduct and coordinated interviews for open positions at the plant level.
  • Recruit through the company website as well as work with various temporary services for potential employees.
  • Before corporate started using a 3rd party for FMLA and Short-Term Disability, assisted in preparing FMLA paperwork and distributed to employees who needed paperwork; tracked all FMLA hours used for approved FMLA.
  • Coordinate all onboarding processes for new employees and conduct HR training on the first day of employment.
  • Input all new employee information into the HRIS system.
  • Track all absences and process corrective actions to be distributed to the employee's supervisor.
  • Input all Workman's Compensation incidences and claims into company system.
  • Set up appointments for drivers that need DOT exams and drug screenings.
  • Start and complete the background screening process for newly hired employees.
  • Coordinate regular meetings with supervisors to go over staffing needs.
  • Process electronic I-9 documentation and verify all documentation presented at time of hire.
  • Compile information for Yearly Compensation Budget.
  • Track vacation pay, sick day pay, and holidays to ensure that employees are compensated correctly.
