There are some good
general keywords to fall back on that reinforce the qualities most employers are looking for. Phrases such as "interpersonal skills," "leadership skills," and "organizational skills" tell your audience that you are competent and professional. More importantly, though, you should use keywords specific to your industry to show you are well-versed in your own profession's terminology.
A petroleum engineer should use different keywords on their resume than a teacher would use on theirs. Rather than relying solely on general buzzwords, do some research to find out what is currently most important in your industry. Combine these keywords with the aforementioned general keywords to effectively grab recruiters' attention.
