• Keep it to three sentences or bullet points
• Highlight the ways your unique skillset is a great match for the company you’re applying to

Writing Your Skills Section

• Keep bullets short and easy to skim
• Include skills that your work history will support, as well as skills you want to highlight that won’t fit into other sections of your resume
• Get focused; rather than “people skills,” narrow it down to something more specific, such as “great verbal communicator”

• Great at walking first-time buyers through the unfamiliar process
• Intimately familiar with the local market
• Experience with commercial and personal real estate

Writing Your Work History Section
The work history section is critical to the overall success of your resume. It offers specific supporting evidence for the generalizations you made in your summary statement and skills section. Writing Your Education Section
As a real estate agent, your education section should be at or near the bottom of your resume. However, you should still lay out your educational history in a clear and concise way.
• Only include your high school diploma if it’s your highest degree
• If you didn’t already mention your real estate license in the summary or skills section, as well as the state(s) in which you are licensed, it can be included here in a combined certifications/licensing and education section
• Relevant coursework should be mentioned, whether it culminated in a degree or not
