In general, jobseekers with more than 10 years of work experience can get away with a two-page resume. In this instance, it is better to have two pages than try to cram all pertinent information on a single page. Additionally, if you are in a highly technical field and have published numerous research papers, then it is also a good idea to have two pages to allow you to list everything that would catch an employer’s eye.
If you want to have a resume that goes onto a second page, then you need to be mindful of any extra space. If your resume only takes up two lines of the second page, then you are better off editing a few points off. The most important thing to remember is that your resume should be however long is necessary to sell yourself.
