PARAPROFESSIONAL
Professional Summary

From the words of Lamar Elementary Principal Kendra Fowler

2019-2020 MWISD Support Employee of the Year is Jasmin Meza

"Jasmin is the sweetest most helpful para. She was willing to take a position this year as an MCL aide with new expectations and demands and no additional pay. She works just as hard as a teacher. She has learned quickly from watching her MCL and doesn't hesitate to jump in and teach any of the 1st grade classrooms that need help. She is supportive of all our students. Multiple times I have seen her working one-on-one with a student. She is bilingual and often helps supports teachers by helping with parents calls and translating. She does this all with a smile on her face. My plan is to encourage her to go to college to become a teacher, because she is already a natural! Congratulations Jasmin"!
