  • I worked with a field archaeologist for about two weeks and learned as much as I could from my mentor archaeologist. I had to keep up in the field while carrying equipment and maintaining a compas line. I was tasked with preparing and labeling artifact bags which entailed cataloging artifact type, size, location, and number as well as the site name and location, the archaeologist's name and the artifact destination. I was also tasked with taking detailed notes about the artifacts that were found, including detailed drawings and maps.
  • I will be volunteering with Dr. Mack at the Asylum Hill Project. I will aid in the excavation and analyzation of human remains for identification and repatriation of those remains.
