I will be receiving a Bachelors of Science degree with a dual major in Special Education (K-8th Grade) and Early Childhood (PreK-4th Grade) in May of 2015 from East Stroudsburg University, PA. At East Stroudsburg University, the Education Department provides education majors to be placed in select Professional Development Schools (PDS) from Scranton, PA to Phillipsburg, NJ, and the opportunity to work alongside certified teachers for a total of two years as well as accumulating over 400 classroom hours since 2009. I am a talented early education professional with diverse experience in planning and implementing various activities for promoting physical, social, emotional and intellectual growth of children.I am successful at managing large classrooms of young children. I am a patient educator who collaborates successfully with children, parents and staff.
1. Over 400 hours of hours with students from a variety of classrooms since 2009.
2. I hold a substitute certification within the State of New Jersey since November of 2013 where I have worked over 200 hours in classrooms from Kindergarten to Life Skills.
3. Since January 15, 2015 I have a Certificate of Completion in Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse that has provided me with more knowledge in being able to speak to children and listen intently.
4. Received the Senior Honors Award in April of 2014 as a Junior at East Stroudsburg University.
Promoted good behaviors by using the positive reinforcement method. Established a safe play environment for the children.Encouraged children to be understanding of others. Maintained a child-friendly environment with access to outdoor activities. Incorporated music, art and theater into the lesson plans to accommodate for a variety of learners.
While I lived at East Stroudsburg University I was a server where I greeted and served a variety of customers and demonstrating a positive demeanor and efficient food service responsibilities. I also received an award during this year for earning the highest food sales two months in a row and earning the most positive survey feedbacks with a total of 23 in 3 months.

During high school i was top 30% of my graduating class where I also participated in JV and Varsity soccer all four years as well as Student Council. I also achieved Honor Roll and Distinguished Honor Roll throughout each quarter of every year.
Throughout the years I have been inspired by many educators that provided me with the knowledge and experiences that I have today. I always found the variety of teaching styles I have come across to be the most intriguing and finding which worked best for my needs within the classroom which inspired me to become an educator. For the past six years I have continued to gain personal experiences relating to the education field through hands on materials and working with students from a variety of classrooms. Being certified in the State of New Jersey to substitute teach for the past year has given me the assurance I needed to find my niche in the education field.
