Determined the most suitable soil type (a shale-based media) and plants (herbs, perennials, diosperma and sedums). Established a 3-phase, 5 to 7 year timeline for installation. Described the benefits and costs associated with the construction of the roof. Construction Principles and Project Management Quarter Project 2/2013-3/2013 Devised a hypothetical design plan for the Woodland-Davis Clean Water Project. Summarized project scope and objectives. Scheduled and budgeted key tasks and milestones with Excel and Project Libre. Wrote detailed job descriptions for critical human resources. Green Engineering Design Group Quarter Project 11/2012-12/2012 Compared the overall cost, greenhouse gas emissions, and energy consumption of an anaerobic digester over a twenty year life cycle before and after the addition of glycosidic enzymes. Considered digester construction, maintenance and operation, biogas production, and transportation and landfill storage of sludge in the analysis. Water Quality Management Group Quarter Project 2/2012-3/2012 Discussed why diazinon and chlorpyrifos are considered toxic to humans and the aquatic environment. Compared the historical concentrations of diazinon and chlorpyrifos in the Sacramento River watershed and San Pablo Bay to the regulatory and toxicity limits. Determined that exsting mitigation measures have been effective for the Sacramento River watershed but that more research is required for the San Pablo Bay.

Experience
06/2013 to Current
Student Assistant IV Nexstar Media Group Inc. , ,
I am working with Dr. Kayhanian and 4 other civil engineering students as a team to conduct a comprehensive literature review of the diverse range of equipment, techniques, and water quality parameters associated with street-sweeping. We ultimately plan to publish an article that evaluates the effectiveness of street-sweeping in improving the water quality of urban runoff. I authored the section of the paper that summarizes and describes the main methodologies (such as sampling methods, site selection criteria, and data analysis techniques) used by the street sweeping studies I am part of a team analyzing data from a comprehensive survey on factors associated with bike ridership at Davis High School, Tamalpais High School, and Sequoia High School. Hundreds of bike surveys were collected from each school. I entered data by Excel and analyzed data by a combination of Excel and SPSS. I geocoded and determined distances of home addresses from schools by a combination of ArcMap and Google Maps. Data analysis establishes relationships between parameters such as possession of a driver's license and student biking rate.
