  • SEM: I have experience with Google AdW ords. I created extremely short 25-35 character copy to promote Vanguard's pensions, endowment and foundations, and institutional asset management services, as well as the accompanying image ads.
  • Use of marketing messaging: First and foremost, I spent considerable time with Vanguard's executive management and sales leaders making sure that the real world application of our messaging was matching what was asked from us at concept meetings, and that with an always shifting market, the message that our executive leadership wanted to express had not changed, and if it had, then to update our messaging accordingly.
  • I maintained and updated the brand briefs of Vanguard's pensions, endowment and foundations, and institutional asset management services business lines. These briefs were updated yearly, approved by our executive management, and incorporated into all marketing collateral.
  • Incorporating data/marketing analytics: W orking with Vanguard's web services team and Google Analytics, I measured the effectiveness of our SEO/SEM campaigns. Additionally, I worked with internal and external research firms to create in-depth surveys revolving around the needs of endowments, and their awareness of Vanguard (and others) as institutional asset managers.
  • I used many internal applications as well as industry publications to monitor product, surveys and trends in the marketing.
  • Additionally, I looked to get our research and into industry publications such as Pensions & Investments and their accompanying conferences by promoting our white papers and thought leaders as lead pieces for the publications and events.
