Professional Summary
All of my work history is in the City of St. Louis, MO and in my maiden name of Janet P. Kuhl. I was a St. Louis City (MO) Police Officer for twenty years and worked mainly on Patrol, answering service calls and handling traffic situations. I worked in the office numerous times and during the last several years of my career, I travelled throughout the US bringing fugitives back to St. Louis to stand trial for their crimes.I took my twenty year retirement in 1999. I then started working for a Temporary Staffing Company as a Receptionist until I took a full-time position as a Legal Secretary for the next several years. This office was three separate lawyers and I answered all their incoming calls but I was specifically the legal secretary to Mr. Forsyth and prepared all his legal drafts and filed them in the appropriate courts throughout the Metropolitan area, I handled all of his correspondence and also client billing. I was in charge of keeping the court schedule for the entire year and scheduling the court dates, notifying the clients of upcoming court dates and also notifying the courts if there was a conflict. The three attorneys decided to close the office and each opened their own separate offices, with Mr. Forsyth hiring his daughter in my position.I worked as a legal receptionist/secretaryand also took a part-time position in the Courthouse until I left that line of work and went to work at the St. Louis Zoo where I worked with several officers from my Police Department and only left that job to move out of Missouri after getting married in October 2014. I have not worked in Alabama since getting married and now want to return to the work force to earn some spending money to supplement my Police Pension.

Security Dispatcher, 10/2009 to 06/2014
St. Louis Zoo – #1 Government Blvd
Besides dispatching Rangers to assignments I answered all incoming calls to main Zoo line, approximately 150-250 calls per day. I either answered the questions appropriately ortransferred them to the proper office. I also monitored security alarms and occasionally monitored all of the security cameras throughout Zoo property. I was also in charge of logging and securing lost and found items that were turned in to our office.
Receptionist/secretary, 06/2004 to 03/2006

    I was hired as the front receptionist and also served as secretary for several of the Lawyers in the office. I typed briefs and transcribed notes for their files.

(This was a part-time position)I assisted the Court Clerk in Division one of the Circuit Courts and was in charge of getting all the case files brought into the office from storage for the daily docket in this courtroom. I also entered new information into thecomputer files as they were forwarded to our office. When this job ended I was transferred to the" Old Case Files" divisionand assisted the Clerk in searching through hundred of old files to see if they could be purged from the system and then sent to be destroyed

I was the Logistics Chairperson for the St. Louis Autism Walk from 2004-2013 and was in charge of ascertaining what was needed for each venue of the Walk event, then ordering, setting up delivery, and making schedules to have enough people in place for the event, which had between 20,000-26,000 attendees annually. At the end of this event I was in charge of making sure all rental equipment, tents, chairs, tables, trash cans, portable restrooms and stage equipment were cleaned and returned either to private outside vendors or to our storage unit.I joined the Exchange Club of Mobile in 2014 and have been the secretary for the past 1-1/2 years. this is a service organization that works to raise monies for the prevention of child abuse via the Family Center of Mobile. I keep track of attendance, keep track of awards received by the Club and take minutes at each meeting, while keeping a schedule of upcoming events that our Club participates in
