Having effective communication with each customer that came in assured that I was providing excellent customer service. It was important to always present professionally while organizing all appointments or assisting in any general questions a customer may have had. Aside from being responsible for accurately building each technicians book for the day, and always striving for sufficient communication, I was responsible for opening and closing the salon each morning, and night shift that I was scheduled. Opening the salon consisted of unlocking each door to the building and doing security checks, calculating how much money was in the drawer from the day prior, and entering the amount along with our product sales into an Excel spreadsheet. I then proceeded to follow up with our customers by returning any missed calls that we received overnight, and schedule any appointment opportunities we missed. Before customers came in, it was a priority to make sure everything in the salon was intact. Closing up the salon included closing out all receipts, calculating each technicians tips for the day, counting the money in the drawer, completing the required Excel spreadsheets, cleaning up the office space, and locking up the building. Throughout the day I would greet each customer making them feel welcomed, check them in and out , and provide any assistance my co-workers may have needed throughout the day.
