· Reconcile insurance and TexFlex premiums monthly against payroll
contributions/deductions for ERS. Reconcile Active and Retired Employer Life &
AD/D premiums for Cigna monthly
· Transmit premiums payable to ERS monthly

· Monitor Change-of-Status PSF's (Personnel Status Form) for funding and/or
deduction changes
· Process New Hire, Change of Status and Seperation PSF's daily.
· Identify and adjust insurance discrepancies. Data entry in Colleague System
· Monitor semi-monthly Payroll for benefits & TRS funding discrepancies and make
necessary adjustments. Assist employees in all areas of employee benefits
· Maintain and update employee's insurance coverage in ERS and Colleague
· Check ERS daily and monthly employee/employer premium reports against system
employee premium data and identify discrepancies
· Process employee Educational Benefits applications and book voucher requests.
Maintain active/inactive employee and retiree records
· Provide general administrative support to the Employee Benefits Manager:
answering telephone calls, assisting employees and retirees, distributing
insurance information, ordering supplies, preparing, filing, correspondence,
copying, faxing, typing and processing mail
· Performed duties as Notary Public
· Conduct in-processing and out-processing of employees
· Input, update and monitor all employee deductions such as Workers Comp, TRS,
QPP, Insurance and Educational Benefits. Data entry in Datatel/Colleague System
and ERS system
· Monitor Change-of-status PSF's for funding and/or deduction changes
· Monitor semi-monthly Payrolls for benefit deduction discrepancies
· Check ERS daily and monthly employee/employer premium reports against system
employee premium data and identify discrepancies
· Process Educational Benefits applications and generate budget transfers and
requisitions for employee educational benefits. Maintain active/inactive employee
and retiree records
· Distribute lab reports to clients by fax and/or phone
· File patient data and handle all aspects of the lab reception office duties and
functions
· Handle all types of biological and physical specimens using proper blood and body
precautions.
· Call physicians for missing diagnoses as necessary
· Advise supervisor/s of problems and issues involving the front office area
· Processes, alphabetizes, and count all patient requisitions on a daily basis. Review
the charge and credit journal. Ensure all test on requisitions are ordered correctly.
Make any corrections if possible. Provide excellent customer service to walk-in
patients, for clients via telephone, and refer questions appropriately to
supervisors.
· Register walk-in patients for laboratory test(s) ordered by referring physician, &
record/file patient data.
· Collect money for lab procedures and manage cash box. Enter patient information
in SoftLab and/or SoftWeb system accurately and completely
· Release ABNs upon receipt of additional diagnostic information
· Perform all other tasks/responsibilities as necessary
· Perform other office/receptionist duties e.g. fax, copier, and telephone coverage
