My menu boasted fresh to serve anything from hamburgers to po-boys, or chicken fried steak.

Assistant Manager/Accounts Representative, 04/1991 to 06/1997
Pan-American International ShippingCity, STATE,
Managed accounts in Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, Japan, Mexico, middle east,  shipping dry commodities overseas. Our company was the smallest, but oldest established company still thriving in New Orleans in my time. It was over 250 years old. The contracts we handled where all through banks. These bank contract bill of ladings were in the $1 million dollar mark and each one had specific instructions. With absolutely no room, default on contract, if a period was out of place. Therefore my company would lose that contract. Some of these businesses and contracts went so far back as to have been made on a handshake, one in particular was made in the late  1800's, on a gentleman's handshake. I even did business with the modern day owner of that company back then. I was the Assistant Office Manager. Handling all typing, computer,  phones, basically the general running of the office, filing, and faxing.  I learned how to negotiate with a skill in a time when women were hard pressed to be recognized as valuable at the time, by a culture used to dealing with men only, and gaining that hard won respect at a young age in my life. For all my accomplishments this is one that gives me greatest joy. I learned Honor is given first, then deep respect, no matter the gender.  Never stop learning, always keep your mind open to knew possibilities.
