JB Hunt is one of the largest logistics companies in the country and is a Fortune 500 Company. Following six weeks as a Dedicated Manager in Training, I accepted a position as an Operations Supervisor for a dedicated account employing 200+ local & regional drivers. As an Operations Supervisor I'm responsible for the following:
Set estimated time of arrivals daily for each load going to a store to meet account standards held by our client.
Use Freight Manager and Host in order to comply with the accounts standards.
Monitor Drivers to ensure all loads get delivered & picked up on time daily.
Dispatch Drivers on deliveries and backhauls daily.
Manage the delivery and corresponding communication regarding emergency loads to ensure on time delivery.
Make changes to the daily schedule to position drivers to make deliveries on time.
Directly communicate with drivers to certify deliveries & pickups do take place.
Audit drivers trip sheets and paperwork to ensure loads are delivered & picked up.
Perform safety inspections to establish proper safety practices of drivers, developing a safety first culture account-wide.
Counsel drivers when registering Critical Mitigation Braking events, sensor based braking events.
Train drivers on properly using the Smith System to curb improper driving habits; Aim High in Steering, Get the Big Picture, Keep Your Eyes Moving, Leave Yourself an Out, Make Sure They See You.
Advise drivers on how to properly log events such as pre-trip inspections, hours of service violations, or fueling.
Ensure drivers are compliant with DOT regulations daily.
Train Dedicated Managers in Training on all daily activities required to be an Operations Supervisor.
Resolve complex problems with creative solutions to mitigate issues faced by drivers on a daily basis.

Analyzed 9 different clients operations using client provided and self-collected data to aid the sales of projects.
Designed modules depicting production lines specific loss points and quantities of product lost at those points.
