Resume writing experts suggest approaching the summary section as an opportunity to show off your major qualifications near the top of your resume. This section is also better suited for including keywords and relevant phrases from the job description than a brief objective statement, which can help your resume clear automated applicant tracking systems.
Most summary statements are three to six lines long and consist of focused statements that do not need to be complete sentences. Respond to the requirements of the job you want and try to make a positive first impression on the hiring manager or recruiter reading your resume. Try to indicate your ability to make contributions of value and demonstrate that you have what it takes to succeed in the position for which you are applying.
