  • This includes collaboration and communication with Naval Ordnance Safety & Security Activity (NOSSA) representatives, NSWCDD Commanders, and Explosive Safety representatives.
  • Provides Program Managers, Engineers, and Navy representatives with safety analysis during design, development, testing, and fleet introduction of gun systems, ammunition, and propellants.
  • Perform quality inspections of both incoming and outgoing parts, use of specialized inspection tools such as calipers, gauge pins, and go/no go gauges.
  • Go/ No Go gauges determine if specific Go/No Go criteria are met to determine if a hazard exists and/or testing may continue.
  • Generates Range safety SOPs for implementation to limit personnel and equipment exposure to operational hazards.
