I'm a good, dependable, and attention to detailed welder and been in the Nozzle Department for 15 years and we received Department of the Year Award 6 times. I've done it all from blasting our own parts, demension checks, operated CNC HAAS to remove rockets, reinstalled and tig welded new rockets back onto housings, True Positioned new rockets, operated CNC HAAS to machine housing sealing surfaces, set up housings in welding booth to perform GTAW new sealing surface, incoming inspections, pressure testing, machine rockets, airflow, Orbital welding, fuel flowing, and spray pattern and even performed these task on the new "H" housings and pilot nozzles. Tools used were micrometers, depth gauge, metalworking tools like right angles grinders, straight grinders, 5 inch grinders, Miller tig welding machine, and dial calipers. |
Accurately report findings of inspections and documented results to Supervisors, Operations personnel, and/or Group Leaders.
Maintain KANBAM flow system procedures.
Assemble, verify dimensions, and disassemble components or set-ups as required.
Assure that weld preparation has been completed.
Complete necessary fit up and tacks welds.
Used Gas Tungsten Arc Welding processes.
Operated CNC HAAS to remove bad fuel housing rockets.
Operated CNC HAAS to machine out cracks from fuel housing sealing surfaces.
Follow all applicable specifications and procedures regarding the performance of shop operations.
Identify and disassemble parts.
Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.
Operate airflow test stand.
Operate hand blaster cabinet as required.
Operate spray angle test stand.
Operate / use measuring instruments to perform dimensional verification.
Perform grinding, blending, and weld preparation operations as required on fabricated or repair parts.
Perform lower classified work as required.
Perform testing on all types of fuel nozzles.
Perform welding on stationary components to required specifications.
Provide technical direction and training of lower classified personnel.
Receive work assignments from supervision or designated representative ; work from written and / or verbal instructions, sketches, samples, and drawings.
Set-up and operate, and maintain a variety of equipment to test, disassemble, and evaluate parts per accepted Siemens Energy, customer or industry standard.
Set-up and operate drill press, band saw as needed.
Use all required safety equipment and follow established safety procedures. Report all accidents immediately to Supervision or Safety Committee Member.
Use computer terminals to log on and off jobs or otherwise record labor expended on specific tasking.
Work with or under the direction of higher classified technicians, engineers, and / or management.
Loaded and unloaded commercial and cargo aircraft.
Performed weight and balance on cargo aircraft.
Performed these task on DC-9's, Boeing 737's, DC-10's, A360 Airbus, and Boeing 757 aircraft.
Performed these task using assorted ramp equipment such as belt loaders, tug trucks, and push-back trucks to push the aircraft from the gates.
I first went in as an 11B Infantryman.
I was then envolved in the recruit training program of physical and mental preparation of the U.S. Army.
Seventh Infantry Division was my assigned post at Fort Ord, California.
I was flown and was apart of the U.S. Invasion on Panama in pursuit of Manuel Noriega In 1988.
I really wanted to be in Aviation and was able to change my MOS because of having a high MM ( Mechanical Maintenance) score.
I was flown to Aviation School in Fort Rucker, Alabama where I was honored the Distinguish Honor Graduate from after completion of school.
My training was performed on UH-1 Huey , OH-58 Observation, UH-60 Black Hawk, and the AH-64 Apache Attack Helicopters.
My new assigned company was the 273 Medical Detachment (Helicopter Ambulance) South Parkway Conroe, Texas.
Shortly afterwards received and ordered in support of Operation Desert Shield / Desert Storm.
Performed preventative maintenance daily on my aircraft through the freezing weather at night to the 110+ degree temperature sand storms everyday.
Executed combat missions with my pilots in rescuing wounded soldiers.
Awarded the Kuwait Liberation Medal.
Returned home to finish my time of service.
