Cryo-electron Tomography on frozen-hydrated Z-discs Isolated from flight muscle of Lethocerus indicus. This project uses cryoelectron tomography to determine the 3-D structure of the Z-disks isolated from the flight muscles of the large water bug, L. indicus. Our lab uses L. indicusas a model system for structural studies of striated muscle. This would be just the second Z-disk isolated from muscle and imaged by cryoET and subtomogram averaging.
High resolution Single Particle analysis of of Drosophila myosin thick filaments at sub-nanometer resolution, by leveraging data analysis and programming skills. Utilize Titan Krios transmission electron microscope to take data for my project. Coordinate 3 different projects in signle particle analysis, one personal project and two other collaborative projects with our group members

Trouble Shooting and Re-opening shutdown microscope with a different detector. Operate the microscope in single-particle, pre-processing, ensure complete transfer of data, and shipping hard drives to SECM4 users. Establish communication with DirectElectron, ThermoFisher, Gatan companies for maintaining and servicing different parts of the microscope.
Taught 4 semesters of Biology Labratory. Thought Biology Lab independently with satisfactory reviews from students and professors. Supported instructional activities, learner engagement, classroom management, and behavior modification goals. Followed university policies, teacher guidelines, and student IEPs to ensure student safety and achievement of learning outcomes.
