More than 9 years of hands-on in vitro and in vivo laboratory experiences.
A wide scientific skill set including: ◦ Wire myograph: to evaluate vascular function in isolated vessels including aortas, carotid, femoral, and iliac arteries. ◦ Animal Handling on both rats and mice. ◦ Pharmacological agent administration: tail vein injection, retro-orbital sinus injection, intraperitoneal injection, subcutaneous injection, intramuscular injection, intradermal injection, subcutaneous implantation, and oral gavage. ◦ Blood collection and handling: cardiac puncture, mouse facial vein puncture, and retro-orbital sinus blood collection. ◦ Serum and plasma extraction. ◦ Animal surgeries. ◦ Bone marrow transplantation and fluorescence activated cell sorting analysis: to study divergent local versus systemic effects of a signaling protein. ◦ Blood pressure and glucose measurement on mice. ◦ Metabolic assessments. ◦ Multiple tissue collection and culture. ◦ Cell-based pharmacological and toxicological studies. ◦ Others: mRNA/protein extraction, PCR, real-time RT PCR, western, ELISA, luciferase assay, and vaginal cytological examination.
