I am seeking full-time employment in youth ministry and/or faith formation. I have a passion for helping young people not only grow in their knowledge of the faith but grow spiritually in their relationship with God.

Following my ordination I was assigned to Ellsworth WI. I helped with the Religious Education program and youth ministry until the resignation of the youth minister at which time I was named DYM. The youth ministry program is in charge of ministry to youth from 6th through 12th grade. We have a monthly youth Mass followed by food and an event, either fun or service. We have an annual ski trip in the winter and a trip to Valleyfair, an amusement park, in the summer. There have been several day long and weekend retreats that I have taken youth to. In my time as DYM I have organized two mission trips and two trips to Adventure Camp. The mission trips have had about 14 teens going while Adventure Camp has had 28 middle through high school youth going each year. Adventure Camp is a camp rented by the Diocese of Lacrosse at a summer camp in northern Wisconsin. The camp has daily adventures of rock climbing and rappelling, canoeing, etc., with Mass and catechesis each evening. I am also attending this summer's World Youth Day in Rio. I had 1 teen who wanted to go so I arranged with another group for us to join with them where we will attend WYD followed by a week of service at an orphanage in Lima Peru. In addition to my duties as DYM I oversee and teach the confirmation program. I also teach on Fridays at the parish elementary school, I get 20 minutes in each grade, kindergarten through 5th grade.
I helped to organize and start a post Confirmation program. After one year was in control of program. The program consisted of catechesis and service to the church and community. In 2004 started to organize a trip to World Youth Day in Germany. Took 8 young people from the parish, hooked up with the diocese for a two week trip from Rome to Cologne, Germany. The trip involved three bus loads of youth of which I was put in charge of one bus.
Taught at different grade levels of middle and high school.
This was an online course teaching all aspects of parish administration. One of the courses taught about the document from the bishops on the protection of children and young people.
I was ordained October 16, 2010.
In 2004 I started the certificate program. I completed the first of two years. I could not complete the course as I was accepted into Diaconal Formation in the fall of 2005.
LFI is a two year program sponsored and run by the Diocese of LaCrosse covering all aspects of the Catholic faith and how to use it in public ministry for the parish. At the end of the two years participants pick a specialty track to study deeper. I studied youth ministry.
