Child Youth Program Associate October 2011 to CurrentYouth & School Services
Responsible for the operation of the Ft.
Bragg Child and Youth Services (CYS) Technology Lab in accordance with applicable regulations.
Assist in designing and responsible for implementing an Educational Technology Program for youth 6-12 years of age.

Monitors changes in CYS policy, regulations and directives for potential impact on CYS program.
Interact with children and youth using approved child guidance and youth development techniques.

Model appropriate behaviors and techniques for working with children and youth.
Maintain control of and accounts for the whereabouts and safety of children and youth.
Monitor Internet use by children and youth to minimize risk of exposure to inappropriate content.
Observe program participants for signs that may indicate illness, abuse or neglect and reports as directed.
Notify supervisor on health, fire, and physical and Internet safety compliance concerns.
Train children/youth in use of equipment and software programs.
Assist in training employees and Family Child Care Providers in Basic Computer Skills as required.
Provide customer support to CYS staff for any hardware of software problems.
Explain program guidance, procedures, policies and directives to parents, volunteers, and other CYPAs who may assist in the Technology Lab.
