I believe that my qualifications and experience will make me an excellent addition to your team. I have been an Assistant Pastor for the past 18 years, and am currently co-pastoring my church through a time of transition. Over the years, I have served in many capacities in churches and have a thorough understanding of church government and the role of a Pastor in the church. Being a Pastor is more than providing spiritual guidance. It’s about being there for people during difficult and joyful times. At times, counseling is needed or maybe just a shoulder to cry on. Being a friend and offering good advice are things I have done over the years as a pastor.

Work Experience- I have been in retail management most of my life. I owned a floor covering business for many years, doing both sales and installation. I believe that an organized and well managed church is not only practical, but also spiritual. Our God is a God of order as seen in creation, the building of the Tabernacle, and the ARK. Good management skills are essential in organizing and giving direction to any ministry. I believe my work experience in management and business ownership have been instrumental in helping me in ministry. I am able to set goals and develop a plan to accomplish those goals. When difficulties are encountered, I have managing experience to help identify problems and resolve them. As a manager, I have developed good people skills which have been helpful in directing, encouraging, and counseling individuals.

Having seen and experienced the consequences of error and false doctrine, I have examined the theological positions held by many different denominations, and have studied some of the different cults and movements in our world. I believe my diverse church background and my theological studies have helped me to discern and address questionable doctrine. While I understand and respect the beliefs of those of different denominations, I tend not to be a non-denominational person but seek to patiently teach Biblically sound doctrine. I always strive to be consistent when teaching the doctrines and theological beliefs of the church in which I hold membership.
