A good example of an objective statement for a teacher would be, "To utilize numerous teaching strategies, including cooperative learning and inquiry-based instruction, to assist high school students in English, history, and art." This sample states what the applicant wants to do, but it also delves into some experiences. The candidate has listed core teaching strategies she has utilized in the past and what level of education she is comfortable with.
A poor career objective would be, "To teach at a high school." The goal is clear, but it does not demonstrate why you are a good fit for that line of work. The good example is better capable of guiding you for the rest of the application. You know what information you need to focus on, and you will intrigue the hiring manager from the very beginning.
