I am a great people person, I love communicating with patients, family members, and coworkers. I work well under pressure. I offer a great work ethic, I show up on time to my shift, I am working nonstop, I offer advice on how my patients could receive better care, I help my nurses with whatever they need. I provide exceptional patient care, take vital signs, chart them, and report them to the nurse if vitals are out of range, I am accurate with charting hourly rounds. Being a Nurse Extern I am able to help nurses even more due to being able to put foleys in, straight catheterizing patients, putting in peripheral IVs, lab draws, blood sticks, and under the nurses supervision and assistance help with IV pumps. I truly appreciate working as a Nurse Extern while I’m in my last year and a half of nursing because of the experience that I am getting. My nurses have really helped me understand how to be a good nurse and to be even more confident in what I know and do.
I always get complimented on my work and how efficient I am. My nurses often ask for my advice on how we could do better in certain upcoming situations. They seem to value my opinions. I think I will be a great addition to your team due to my experience and how determined I am to do well for my patients and hospital.
I do all these things well because I know I would appreciate my aid going the extra mile when I become an RN.
