I have successfully completed over 7 months in a Medical ICU that operates as a critical COVID unit. When reading my resume you may be tempted to pass on my application, but I want to emphasize the experience I have gained within this time span. I had the unique opportunity of becoming a new nurse during a critical time. With the current events, it was imperative for me to gain credentials in setting up and maintaining CRRT, balloon pumps, swans, and several critical medication drips. I am used to balancing high acuity patient loads while maintaining appropriate time management. Another positive to being early in my career is the eagerness I have for learning. I am excited and passionate about caring for my patients. It is important for me to complete my tasks in a timely manner, but also holding compassion for patients and their families as they navigate through some of the biggest hardships of their lives. I also am not someone who lets my ego compromise my integrity. I consider myself very knowledgeable, but simultaneously humble. I do not know all things and understand I am in a profession of constantly learning. I will always ask questions and do my own research to ensure the care I provide is the top evidence-based practice available to be given. Hiring me for this position would be hiring a hard worker with a positive attitude. I can confidently say that I would represent this agency well and hope to become apart of the team!
