Summary

I am a self-starter and lifelong student. My skill set, patience, compassion, and diligence would contribute greatly to any environment. I believe in always doing what's right according to protocol, but I am also not afraid to ask for help, constructive criticism, or reach out first if ever I'm confused. I believe in clear communication and model that in every professional avenue I work in.
From doing direct client care, working in both clinical and administrative settings, communicating and executing the orders of directors and club presidents to create beautiful theater productions, and conducting my own personal research for an internship, I am always excited for my next adventure.

Experience
Registered Behavior Technician, 03/2021 to 08/2021
St. Louis ArcCreve Coeur, MO,

Key Duties, a Summary:

As a behavior technician, I was given the opportunity to work with children with ASD ranging from ages 3 to 11. When I graduated, I began working full time with one client, aged 3. I was responsible for teaching my client to use a brand new speech device, speaking their first words, learning to use the bathroom on their own, and ultimately became a close asset to their family. I only left due to a natural disaster in my state that led me to moving permanently.

  • Planned and implemented individualized interventions as part of behavior treatment plans.
  • Developed activity plans and instructional materials to assist with treatment.
  • Developed and deepened relationships with fellow staff members to enhance team collaboration.
  • Understood autism spectrum disorder, associated behaviors and optimum treatments.
  • Collected and analyzed data and monitored progress and efficacy of individualized treatment plans.
  • Managed daily charting for each patient.
  • Communicated with clients and families in a professional and respectful manner, effectively building lasting relationships.
Administration and Resident Care Intern, 01/2021 to 05/2021
Eden HouseCity, STATE,

Key Duties, a Summary:
My time at Eden House was spent gathering skills pertaining to professional development, building strong, trusting bonds with adult survivors of human sex trafficking, and learning in depth about crisis intervention and management. The position required me to safely transport residents to and from their appointments, jobs, interviews, and various errands. Additionally, I was often in the office taking calls in a calm manner as some calls were from panicked women seeking sanctuary and help. I was able to calmly and concisely re-direct callers to necessary aid while taking down their information to report to my supervisor. My main task during this internship was a research project wherein I compiled a 20 page document of free resources. These resources were organized as a guide to help the residents as they left Eden House and returned back to their lives. The document required months of research, cold calling, and restructuring the document over 3 times to make it easily readable, accessible, and seamless to follow. The internship ended in May, but I’ve been adamant about volunteering for other sex trafficking recovery groups in my spare time.

  • Accessed intern Google Drive daily for resources pertaining to research and schedules.
  • Assisted with client personal care needs to foster independence and well-being.
  • Managed various daily job tasks, including patient transportation and appointment scheduling.

  • Monitored client behaviors and emotional states, reporting concerns to case manager and documenting information in files.
  • Organized games and other activities to engage clients and offer mental stimulation.
  • Helped residents maintain a neat, orderly and comfortable room by making beds and assisting with cleaning and organization.
  • Ran errands for clients and drove to appointments to maintain wellness and support daily living needs.
  • Motivated clients to participate in new activities to broaden skills.
  • Transported clients to recreational and leisure activities.
  • Participated in departmental, organizational and community meetings.
