I have a educational background in early childhood education. I attended NMSU to obtain my associates degree in education and then early childhood education. After obtaining a full time teaching position I went on to attend ENMU with the intention of getting a bachelors degree in university studies emphasizing in early childhood and sociology. I have worked for the HeadStart program, starting first as a substitute working my way to a lead teacher position ending my employment after 9 years. When I moved back to Oklahoma, I took a position as a master teacher with a PreK program in Edmond where I spent 6 years.

While I have no formal education in art directly I have facilitated many projects for the children I worked with regularly over my career. Personally, I enjoy being creative with different types of artistic materials.
