Responsible for processing pre-admissions for urgent hospitalization referred by physicians or near by urgent care facilities, maternity, surgery, and timely notification to bed coordinator for room assignments by phone or tele-tracking system. Also the processing of ancillary services such as: laboratory specimens; x-rays; computer tomography scans and magnetic resonance imaging.
Ensure correct data entry information for hospitalized patients such as admitting and attending physicians to have priviledge to treat at the hospital; patients are admitted with the correct diagnoses; correct medical type and services; ensure to scan and send physician's orders to the appropriate unit.
Responsible for prompt notification of hospitalization of patients' to medical group to obtain HMO authorization, Notification of physicians' to admit and attending; and notification to corresponding health insurance of patients' hospitalization via telephone and facsimile.
